Director of Leadership & Engagement
at Susquehanna University

Working in the higher education field for close to 2 decades, I have never met a student with such passion, drive and commitment to the betterment of others like I have seen with Emily Mcdonnell. During the 23-24 academic year, Emily has become a champion for future growth and vision for the first-year experience and success of orientation programs. Emily is a beacon for other students to follow and has created professional-tier work that will be a playbook for others for many years to come.

Emily is a bright young woman and a talented communications student. I was fortunate to be her academic advisor and professor for various advertising and selling classes during her time at Susquehanna. It was a pleasure witnessing Emily’s total commitment to the Susquehanna community through academics, campus employment, Greek life, volunteer roles, and more. Her drive and motivation are contagious, and her pleasant demeanor brightens any room. Her advertising and public relations major and professional sales minor have positioned her to be successful in many fields, including sales, advertising, digital media, and marketing.

It has been a pleasure to get to know Emily. As a student in my classes, Emily is engaged and participatory. Her work is always top-notch, whether she is working independently or as part of a team. As a student leader, Emily's work with our PRSSA chapter has been an important part of our success this year. Serving as Vice President, she has helped our chapter organize a successful organ donor awareness campaign and has encouraged other students to be more active and involved. She is a well-            respected and well-liked member of our campus community.
